Heart Research Australia supports research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease and the goal is to reduce the devastating impact heart disease has on families and the community. Despite terrific advances, heart disease is still the number one killer of Australians.
How do I go about leaving a gift in my Will?
Our Free Will Planning information pack can help you collect the right paperwork and make decisions before speaking with a professional to co-ordinate your Will. The pack includes a Will planning guide, bequest brochure and information about our latest research.
Our brochure “A Will to Beat Heart Disease” can also give you more information about our work, type of gifts, legal information as well as some suggested wording that may help you.

Simple steps to make or update your Will
- Ensure your loved ones are provided for and consider the type of gift you would like to leave to Heart Research Australia.
- Seek legal advise to write or update your Will.
- Use the correct wording. Click here for suggested wording.
- Sign your Will (while witnessed)
- Please let us know. We would love the opportunity to thank you and keep you informed.
Writing your Will is not only an uncomfortable and emotional thing to do, it can be confusing and leave you with numerous questions from “how do I make sure my loved ones have what they need?” to “my estate won’t be huge, can I really make an impact?”
