We are deeply sorry for your loss. The death of a family member or friend can be one of the most difficult experiences to go through and we are here to offer whatever help we can.

Saying goodbye is never easy, but choosing to honour the life of someone special to you by making a donation in support of heart research can be a positive and lasting way of celebrating a life, while helping to save thousands more.

Create a Unique In Memory Tribute Page

In a few simple steps you can create a long-lasting, personalised tribute page to share with family and friends, all while raising money to support life-saving heart research.

The funds raised in memory of your loved one will help our researchers to find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat heart disease.

The In Memory page allows you to tell the story of the person you’re remembering and enhance it using photos and video. It only takes a few minutes to set up and allows your family and friends to donate and add their tributes to this page easily, safely and securely – wherever they are, whenever they want to.

Sharing your In Memory page with family and friends is simple via email, Facebook and Twitter. Everyone who makes a donation to your page will receive a tax-deductible receipt for donations of $2 and over.

Donations in Lieu of Flowers – In Memory Envelopes

Often people choose to commemorate the life of a loved one by asking for donations rather than flowers at the funeral or memorial service. Organising the funeral of a loved one can be immensely stressful and Heart Research Australia is indebted to those who choose to ask for donations as a way of honouring the life of the person that has passed.

If you would like to request that donations be made to Heart Research Australia in lieu of flowers, we can supply beautifully designed, convenient collection envelopes. Each envelope has information about us and an option to donate by card or cheque. Family and friends can also include a message in memory which we will ensure reaches you.

How to organise donations in lieu of flowers

In most cases your funeral director will be able to organise this for you. All you need to do is inform your funeral home that you wish to have donations to Heart Research Australia in lieu of flowers and they will contact us directly.

How to inform guests to donate to Heart Research Australia in lieu of flowers

Your funeral director can guide you on this but most commonly people write in the funeral notice: “In lieu of flowers a donation in memory of [name] to Heart Research Australia would be appreciated.”

How will you know who donated in lieu of flowers

After donations have been made in lieu of flowers, you will receive an acknowledgment letter with a summary of the gifts that were made in memory of your loved one. Each person who makes a donation will receive a thank you letter and tax deductible receipt.
