Follow these simple steps to keep your heart healthy during the cooler months:

 

  • Keep your salt to a minimum in all cooking – see how

  • Continue regular exercise. Even if it's cold outside do some indoor activities
  • Practise good hygiene, for example, by regularly washing your hands or covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze
  • Get a flu shot to keep colds and flu at bay
